The end of the year is always epic in my life. I had a baby on New Year's Eve, so I always throw a party. This year, I kept the snacks simple. I made a batch of chocolate chip cupcakes, and served raspberry lemonade, sparkling apple grape cider, red grapes, strawberries, carrot sticks, root vegetable chips and coconut chips.
Inside, we had a gallery show of our abstract art. Below are my favorites of my daughter's pieces. The first one she made for me and it is called Colors of Joy.
We had a small fun gathering with an unexpected focus on decorating paper plates and making hats out of them.
I'm feeling pretty satisfied and eager to do the things on my 2019 list this year. The first thing is republishing my book. I'm so close! I'm hoping to upload my final edit today. I also intend to create enough income to not just keep afloat, but pay off some debt and invest in my business. I really want to pick up my yoga and meditation practice which I have dropped along the way of a chaotic couple of years. And last, I simply want to enjoy and savor the time spent with my daughter, my cat, my mother and close friends. May we all have what we need and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
